At RMU, our highly-individualized approach will give you the confidence to try, the freedom to fail, and the support to try again. You’ll be bold. You’ll be ready. You will be unstoppable.
RMU is a teaching-centered institution, with a 15:1 student-faculty ratio and small classes taught by professors, not graduate students. With more than 80 undergraduate and graduate degree programs, plus a variety of professional certificates and customizable programs for corporate and organizational partners, RMU builds on nearly a century of educational excellence.
On 230 acres in suburban Pittsburgh, RMU is a vibrant living and learning community ranked as a top national university by U.S. News & World Report. Eighty-three percent of freshmen live on campus, where they can participate in more than 120 activities and organizations outside the classroom. With 15 teams, including men’s and women’s ice hockey, RMU has a winning tradition in NCAA Division I, so students and alumni can cheer on the Colonials throughout the year. You can work out at the new Student Recreation and Fitness Center, completely stocked with the latest exercise equipment. And the UPMC Events Center is the new home of Colonials basketball and volleyball as well as a major event venue for concerts, career expos, and commencement.
