Student life
On 230 acres in suburban Pittsburgh, RMU is a vibrant living and learning community ranked as a top national university by U.S. News & World Report. Eighty-three percent of freshmen live on campus, where they can participate in more than 120 activities and organizations outside the classroom. With 15 teams, including men’s and women’s ice hockey, RMU has a winning tradition in NCAA Division I, so students and alumni can cheer on the Colonials throughout the year. You can work out at the new Student Recreation and Fitness Center, completely stocked with the latest exercise equipment. And the UPMC Events Center is the new home of Colonials basketball and volleyball as well as a major event venue for concerts, career expos, and commencement.
